Description
This training explains how Section 508 is integrated into the DHS Systems Engineering Life Cycle. It covers Section 508 requirements, procurement regulations, contract language and Section 508 artifacts.
Objectives
This training will help you fulfill your procurement and project management Section 508 compliance responsibilities to ensure compliance with the Section 508 law so that:
  • Custom or developed projects are fully Section 508 compliant at delivery
  • The most compliant commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) products that meet the business need are purchased
  • Target Attendees
    Those who are responsible for the management and planning of programs or projects at DHS or responsible for integration of life cycle processes to include accessibility and Section 508 compliance
