CLE 036 Engineering Change Proposals for Engineers

Description
This module addresses the important role that Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) play in systems acquisition. Students are introduced to Engineering Change Proposals and requests for deviation. They also learn the processes used to effectively plan, request, submit, evaluate, recommend and implement engineering change proposals.
Objectives
Be able to define the role played by ECPs; identify where (ECPs) and Requests for Deviation (RFDs) fit in the Configuration Management process; describe types and classes of ECPs; summarize the ECP process to include participants, planning, requesting, submitting, evaluating, recommending and implementing ECPs; summarize best practices and lessons learned regarding the ECP process.
