Description
This course explores issues associated with the proper means of analyzing, synthesizing, and applying security principles and concepts resulting in effective technology security and foreign disclosure (TSFD). Specific topics include DoD policies and experiences, the role of executive departments and Congress, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), international security policy documentation, anti-tamper, NATO-EU-other international organizations' defense policies, export control reform, and lessons learned/best practices.

Target Attendees
Military officers, DoD civilians, and industry personnel serving, or projected to serve, in a management level International Acquisition Career path (IACP) coded position (or its equivalent). Those individuals serving in foreign disclosure positions are also highly encouraged to attend.

Required:
  • ACQ 120, Fundamentals of International Acquisition (FIAC)
  • ACQ 130, Fundamentals of Technology Security/Transfer (FTS/T)
