The US Army LOGSA Logistics and Engineering Center (LEC) develops and maintains state-of-the-art supportability analysis and Life Cycle Logistics decision support software tools to assist acquisition Program and Product Support Managers. The LEC develops and maintains software tools for supportability analyses, logistics data management, integrated product support program planning/execution, and is the lead Army activity for the development and implementation of the Post Fielding Support Analysis program. With these tools program managers can effectively develop key program management documentation, develop their logistics management information data base, conduct engineering life cycle costing, perform Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), conduct sustainment/supportability analysis, and employ the results of these analyses to reduce project cost, schedule, increase performance, and minimize risk. Although these are US Army tools, they have broad potential applicability and utility for life cycle logistics, product support, and program management professionals across each of the Components within the Department of Defense.
