Environment, Safety, and Occupational Health (ESOH) considerations need to be included in the Systems

Engineering Plan (SEP), Programmatic ESOH Evaluation, and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)/Executive Order (EO) 12114 Compliance Schedule. This Guide will assist Program Offices in improving the efficiency of document preparation. This Guide also offers strategies to minimize duplication between the SEP, PESHE, and the NEPA/EO 12114 Compliance Schedule in support of the Better Buying Power 2.0 initiative.

A cross-functional team of Government and contractor subject matter experts from the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Department of Defense (DoD) Components, with funding from the Defense Safety Oversight Council, developed this Guide. It incorporates best practices.
