The CPI white paper is a document that is designed to outline a proposed approach for operationalizing CPI within the Air Force.  The methods and recommendations presented in this paper are the result of lessons learned from process improvements within the Air Force over the last two decades and some of the most recent process improvement activities occurring at the Air Logistics Centers, across Air Force operational support, and in on-going reengineering and transformation efforts.  The recommendations within this paper are applicable to any Air Force mission area.  If the general strategy articulated in the white paper is accepted by Air Force senior leaders, necessary Air Force instructions and guidance will be developed along with requisite leadership and workforce development training.
