Assuming you're talking DAWIA certification, there are no certification
requirements for DMSMS per se. CLL201-205 CL modules are recommended as part
    of core plus.

DOD DMSMS guidebook (SD-22)contains material on establishing a DMSMS program. It provides a compilation of the best proactive practices for managing the risk of obsolescence and the establishment of a DMSMS program.

The purpose of the guidebook is fourfold:
--Define a proactive DMSMS management process that a PM can use to build an effective
    DMSMS program
-- Define DMSMS support metrics to measure the effectiveness of a proactive DMSMS
    program
-- Promote cost-effective supply chain management integrity through DMSMS problem
solution at the lowest (cost, time, functional) level
-- Promote the exercise of best practices throughout the DMSMS management cycle.

The answer below is provided by a DAU faculty member.

Although there is not a DMSMS certification at the aggregate level – there is a esoteric DMSMS certification program that was recently established within the U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Design Interface/Maintenance Planning section (AIR 6.7.1).   The three(+) level certification program consists of levels I, II and III and then ultimately designation as a Subject Matter Expert.  The program is broken down into seven functional areas:  1) Design Interface; 2) Maintenance Planning; 3) Level Of Repair Analysis; 4) Integrated Maintenance Concept; 5) Reliability Centered Maintenance; 6) Environmental Logistics; 7)Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages.

The certification program leverages the existing Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) training courses and continuous learning modules available within DAU in addition to requiring demonstration of specific skills and requisite experience commensurate with the applicable skill level.

Although this certification does not have applicability outside of NAVAIR, it is an example of a good business practice that can be emulated by other organizations within DoD.
