Air Force Special Packaging Instructions Retreival & Exchange System (SPIRES)

SPIRES is the AF centralized electronic repository for providing AF and Contractor managed weapon system specific Special Packaging Instructions (SPIs) to the warfighters who prepare cargo for worldwide movement. SPIRES facilitates proper packaging of weapon system serviceable and repairable spare parts and enhances packaging information transfer to AF units of varying types with varying missions. Requests for SPI waiver authority to deviate, along with hard copies of SPIs, are obtained from the prime Air Logistics Centers (ALCs).
