Mr. Robert Leibrandt, the USD (AT&L) Unique Identification Policy Office Deputy, presents the strategy for the future and lessons learned on implementation of IUID. This video presentation, accompanied by slides, discusses the international nature of the IUID intitative, the policy foundation, implementation success stories, and the future of the Department of Defense with IUID as a transformation initiative.

This video presentation give the policy foundation for the Item Unique Identification or IUID initiative which has been mandated for new solicitations as of 1January 2004 and legacy items (those in the operational fleet and in supply) as of 1 January 2005. The presentation also discusses the future of Global Traceability in the DoD once IUID is fully implemented.
