The Air Force (AF) DMSMS Program Office is located at Tinker AFB, OKlahoma. Its mission is to improve the sustainability of Department of Defense (DOD) weapon systems by reducing the impact of DMSMS through proactive identification and management of obsolete parts. The AF DMSMS Program empowers System Program Offices (SPOs), Air Logistics Centers (ALCs) and other AF organizations with tools, information, and training for effective management of DMSMS in USAF weapon systems. Inclusive in this effort is policy/guidance, system support and analysis. This program is tasked with the following mission elements:
(1) Provide the Predictive Tool which statuses Bills of Material (BOM)
(2) Provide Analysis program to pursue logistics resolutions for parts obsolescence
(3) Provide an automated Diminishing Manufacturing Sources Shared Data Warehouse (DMS SDW) system to process Life-of-Type buys
