Metal and Nonmetal Mine Safety and Health Resource Page
If you operate or work at a coal mine, this page is probably not for you. This page is designed to assist operators and miners working at metal and nonmetal mines. Metal and nonmetal mining is divided into four broad categories: metal, nonmetal, stone, and sand and gravel. These broad categories encompass approximately 80 different commodities that are mined to provide the raw materials for producing items found all around us in our every day lives.
