About Systems Engineering

Our Approach

The diagram below illustrates how the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Systems Engineering works within the overall Defense Acquisition System to "Deliver Acquisition Excellence to the Warfighter" by focusing on people, processes, and tools. We bridge the research, technology development, test, program management communities to mentor and support the acquisition program technical team and ensure that education and training, best practices, and lessons learned are shared across the enterprise. We work together with industry and academia to solve today's challenges for the warfighter.
