There are a range of Statutory Requirements that specify how, and by whom, DoD logistics activities are accomplished. The majority of these are in Title 10 of the US Code (10 USC). The various sections of Title 10 specify requirements that range from how much Depot workload may be performed by contractors, to what Depot workload is so essential that DoD must ensure that it maintains a "core" capability in those areas, to how Depot public/private partnerships may be implemented.
