The Coast Guard assigned its third operational C-27J Spartan medium range surveillance aircraft, CGNR 2708, to Air Station Sacramento, California, June 1, 2016. The air station is the first to receive C-27Js and is scheduled to reach initial operational capability in July, when it receives the fourth of its six Spartans.
