I am one of those people with an addiction problem that do not have the money for a rehab or a doctor, I am constantly looking for ways to help myself but do not know what to do. I know that this addiction is ruining my life, and without this "medication" I get so sick that it scares me. I never thought that I would be here, I was one of those people who refused to even take an asprin until last year when I had surgery on my stomach and the pain never went away, I started taking pain killers and eventually became dependant on them, now I have to have them and my doctor took me off and have been buying them in not the right ways but I dont know what else to do.....I can't live like this, constant worrying always in pain and sick from withdraw, its horrible and I always tell myself I don't know how I got here but I know I want to change but can't, I don't have insurance and the doctors are so expensive that even when I try to save my addiction overrides the money I put up....I am lost. These books are fantastic for helping families understand opioid treatment programs. I also give these to providers when marketing our program.
