Cooling Centers provide relief and comfort in a cool, safe, air conditioned facility. Cooling Centers are open to the public during regular business hours.  The attached Cooling Center List provides locations, contact numbers and operational hours for each center. Some Cooling Centers during an Alert will extend their hours and open on weekends.  It is advisable to call ahead to confirm hours of operation.

Cooling Centers are activated when official Heat Alerts are issued by Department of Public Health (DPH).
A Heat Alert is triggered when the forecast is 95 to 104 degrees for at least two consecutive days.
