January 19, 2017 - Members of the Southwest Investigative Fugitive Taskforce (SWIFT) received information that fugitive Estevan Banegas may be near Hatch, NM. SWIFT team member’s investigation revealed that Banegas may have been staying at his girlfriend’s house in Salem, NM.


January 19, 2017 - U.S. Marshal for the District of Columbia Patrick A. Burke swore-in more than 3,500 law enforcement officers from across the country as special deputy U.S. Marshals for the 58th U.S. Presidential inauguration. The swearing-in ceremony was this afternoon at the D.C. Armory.


January 19, 2017 - U.S. Marshals and the Norfolk and Virginia Beach fugitive units have captured Petersburg abduction suspect Kristopher Jones and located the black BMW. The Marshals in Norfolk worked around the clock with local law enforcement partners after being notified around midnight by the Marshals in Richmond that Jones may be in Hampton Roads.


January 18, 2017 - U.S. Marshal Pete Tobin is pleased to announce that the U.S. Marshal’s Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team (SOFAST) arrested Darrius Wright. Wright was wanted by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office for Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. Less than two hours later, SOFAST officers arrested another wanted fugitive, Terrance Baker. Baker was wanted by the Springfield Police Department for Aggravated Robbery.


January 18, 2017 - 15 Most Wanted Capture - The manhunt for alleged cop killer Markeith Loyd is over. U.S. Marshals along with officers from the Orlando Police Department, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, and the Florida Department of Law Enforcement located the fugitive in an abandoned home in west Orlando, Florida, at approximately 7 p.m. Tuesday and took him into custody.


January 17, 2017 - 15 Most Wanted Addition - The U.S. Marshals turned up the heat today in the search for the suspect in the fatal shooting of an Orlando police officer by adding him to their 15 Most Wanted list. Markeith Loyd, 41, is accused of fatally shooting Orlando police Master Sgt. Debra Clayton outside a Wal-Mart on Princeton Street at John Young Parkway on Monday.


January 17, 2017 - Michael Prudhomme turned himself into the Albuquerque Police Department. Due to the exposure of this case by the media, billboards, law enforcement, and the people of New Mexico Prudhomme found it hard to stay a fugitive from justice. Prudhomme was wanted by the Albuquerque Police Department, for Cruelty Towards a Child-Great Bodily Harm and Battery Against a Household Member.


January 17, 2017 - The U.S. Marshals are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing 11-year old boy, William Spencer. Spencer was allegedly abducted by his mother, Susan O’Connor, in May 2009 and is believed to possibly be in the Jupiter, Florida area.


January 17, 2017 - Issac Williams was arrested Friday by the United States Marshals Service in Miami, FL. Arrest warrants were issued pursuant to an investigation by the Texas Department of Public Safety, where it is alleged that Williams failed to appear in court and violated the conditions of his bond on pending charges involving trafficking persons under the age of 18.


January 17, 2017 - U.S. Marshals and Norfolk police have again brought a safe conclusion to a tense standoff. Philadelphia native Karl Howard was arrested at a house in Norfolk this afternoon after he tried fleeing through a back door, hiding, and then lying to avoid arrest. Howard was wanted in connection to a Philadelphia murder that occurred in September of last year.


January 17, 2017 - Last week’s “Fugitive of the Week,” Christopher Emmons, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force while hiding in a closet of a Rochester, New Hampshire home. Emmons was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Strafford Superior Court for Probation Violations. Emmons was on probation after being convicted and sentenced for the offense of second degree Assault.


January 14, 2017 - Yesterday afternoon, Raul Alferes Luesa was extradited back to the United States after his arrest in Jojulta, Morelos, Mexico. Luesa was wanted by the Phoenix Police Department for his repeated sexual abuse of multiple children.


January 12, 2017 - Brandon DeShawn Humes was arrested this morning by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force, Converse Police Department, and Live Oak Police Department in Live Oak, TX. An arrest warrant was issued pursuant to an investigation by the Fort Worth Police Department after Humes was indicted for Murder.


January 12, 2017 - Amos Rojas Jr., U.S. Marshal for the Southern District of Florida would like to warn the South Florida public of a federal jury scam that may involve threats of fines and/or jail time. The deceptive caller may telephone your home, cellphone, work phone, or email you with threats that you have missed federal jury service and if you don’t comply with their requests, you could be fined or face jail time.


January 11, 2017 - In November of 2016 Kendell Selina was arrested by the Albuquerque Police Department. Selina was wanted by the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department for Criminal Sexual Penetration of a Minor and Criminal Sexual Contact of a Minor and the New Mexico Corrections Department of Probation & Parole for Violations of Probation and Parole.


January 05, 2017 - On January 4, 2017, Anselmo Javier-Jimenez was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Joint Fugitive Task Force in the Middle District of North Carolina, assisted by the Elkin Police Department. On June 6, 2016, a warrant for arrest was issued for Javier-Jimenez by the Omaha Police Department in Nebraska for First Degree Sexual Assault of a Child.


Janaury 05, 2017 - A man wanted for two recent Norfolk shootings went to great lengths to avoid arrest this morning. Donnie Eugene Graham was arrested by Marshals and Norfolk detectives after an eventful arrest at a Chesapeake residence.


January 04, 2017 - The U.S. Marshals are warning the public of an ongoing jury duty telephone scam. It begins when the scammer, posing as a U.S. Marshal or other law enforcement officer, calls a victim to advise that he or she has missed federal jury duty but can avoid arrest by paying a fine immediately.


January 04, 2017 - This week’s “Fugitive of the Week,” Frederick Piercey, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force in Rindge, New Hampshire. Piercey was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant issued by the Keene Police Department for a sex offender registration violation for failing to register.
