Greater Midwest Region
The National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NNLM) office for the Greater Midwest Region is located at Hardin Library for the Health Sciences at the University of Iowa. By collaborating, training, and funding over 1,100 health centers, health departments, community organizations, as well as medical, public, and school libraries in a 10 state region, the office supports the mission of the NNLM to advance the progress of medicine and improve public health through access to health information.

The GMR provides limited quantities of free NLM and NNLM print materials to new GMR network members, GMR network members providing outreach through our awards, and GMR members who request materials for special events.
Becoming a GMR-Sponsored MLA Webinar Site
The GMRis now receiving applications for the upcoming spring MLA webinars. First consideration will be given to those applications received before January 27. We will sponsor one (1) webinar per site each quarter.

NNLM accounts are now available for you to register for classes, including the GMR Update, and add/edit your NNLM organization profile.
Resource Guides
NNLM is more than just "Libraries of Medicine". Organizations who have health information access as part of their mission can apply for membership. Resource Guides for Public Libraries and Health Professionals have been created to assist professionals in a variety of health information roles. Topical resources include STEM Resources for K-12 and higher education.
