Providing Quality Family Planning Services: Recommendations of CDC and the U.S. Office of Population Affairs (QFP) (1.2 MB) offers the first federal evidence-informed guidelines for the delivery of family planning services. The QFP provides guidance for all reproductive health and primary care providers in how to provide quality clinical services to support women and men in preventing or achieving pregnancy. Quality family planning improves health outcomes for women and families.

Providing Quality Family Planning Services: Recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the US Office of Population Affairs (QFP) integrate clinical recommendations from a number of federal sources and professional medical associations. The current federal sources are listed and will be updated regularly. For guidelines and recommendations which were made by professional medical associations, please go to the association’s listed website for the most recent guidelines.
