Family Violence Prevention & Services

The Family Violence Prevention and Services Program administers the Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA), the primary federal funding stream dedicated to the support of emergency shelter and related assistance for victims of domestic violence and their children.

Health Profession Opportunity Grants (HPOG) provide education and training to individuals for occupations in the health care field that pay well and are expected to either experience labor shortages or be in high demand.

ACF provides grants to agencies and organizations working to help participants build and sustain healthy relationships and marriages, and to strengthen positive father-child interaction.

Runaway & Homeless Youth

ACF supports street outreach, emergency shelters, and longer-term transitional living and maternal group home programs to serve and protect runaways and homeless youth.

Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program helps families foster economically secure households and communities for the well-being and long-term success of children and families.
