ACF Hotlines

Overview

ACF supports nationwide crisis hotlines for child abuse, domestic violence, human trafficking and runaways. The Health Insurance Marketplace Call Center assists callers with choosing coverage that is right for themselves and their families—or their businesses.

National Child Abuse Hotline

The National Child Abuse Hotline 1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) is dedicated to the prevention of child abuse. Serving the United States, its territories, and Canada, the hotline is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with professional crisis counselors who, through interpreters, can provide assistance in 170 languages.

The hotline offers crisis intervention, information, literature, and referrals to thousands of emergency, social service, and support resources. All calls are confidential.

National Domestic Violence Hotline

1-800-799-SAFE (1-800-799-7233)
TTY: (800) 787-3244

Free and confidential help is available for victims of domestic violence 24 hours a day. If you need help or just want someone to talk to, please call the National Domestic Violence Hotline at: 1-800-799-SAFE (7233) or TTY 1-800-787-3224.

As a survivor of domestic violence, your safety is at high risk when you leave an abusive relationship and right after you make that decision. It is important to work with a domestic violence advocate to develop a safety plan. Advocates can help you develop a plan for emergencies, connect you to community resources and discuss your options.
