CREDIT UNIONS IN SCHOOLS
Is there a credit union in your school? Credit unions across the country are opening branch offices in elementary, middle and high schools. Students may even get the chance to help run a credit union, serving as tellers, bookkeepers, computer operators, branch managers, and marketing managers.
Being part of a credit union in your school can help you establish your financial goals – and watch your savings grow. They can provide a convenient place to deposit your allowance, or money you earn on a regular basis – some even offer direct deposit!
Working at a credit union is an excellent preparation for the "real world," when you will be responsible for your own finances. Talk to your teacher to see if this is something that might be possible where you go to school.
