The United States President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) is an advisory group, chartered in each administration with a broad mandate to advise the President on science and technology. The PCAST was originally established through Executive Order 13226, and most recently re-established by Executive Order 13539 on April 21, 2010.
On August 11, 2015, PCAST released the Report to the President and Congress Ensuring Leadership in Federally Funded Research and Development in Information Technology.
On January 17, 2013, PCAST released its report on Designing a Digital Future: Federally Funded Research and Development in Networking and Information Technology.
