Vice Admiral Bono Addresses the Defense Health Board

Navy Vice Adm. Raquel Bono, director, Defense Health Agency (DHA), addressed members of the Defense Health Board at its quarterly meeting, Feb. 9, 2017. The Defense Health Board is a federal advisory committee to the Secretary of Defense, providing independent advice and recommendations on operational programs, health policy development, health research programs, and requirements for the treatment and prevention of disease and injury, promotion of health and the delivery of health care to DoD beneficiaries. Bono discussed DHA goals for 2017 and the importance of the board's work for the agency. Dr. Terry Rauch, recently named acting deputy assistant secretary of Defense for Health Readiness Policy and Oversight, looked on. Navy Vice Adm.
