The NAVFAC Acquisition Supplement (NFAS) provides general guidance to field contracting officers in the execution of their delegated authority. It implements or supplements the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and the Navy Acquisition Procedures Supplement (NAPS). It is not a stand-alone document, but must be read together with the FAR, DFARS and NAPS.
