General information about Direct Access Migration:
This migration places PHS Commissioned Corps pay and personnel processing under one system with the United States Coast Guard and the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Commissioned Corps. This results in a standardized system that reduces security risks and cost.
The following functions are currently performed in the Direct Access system:

Note: Some of the following guides and tutorials were developed for Coast Guard personnel. The basic functionality is the same for Coast Guard personnel and PHS Officers but some the terminology and screen captures in the guides and tutorials may not exactly match up to the PHS versions of the applications.

Who to contact for help
There are different points of contact for support depending on the type of issue and status (active duty or retired).
PHS Active Duty Passwords and other logon issues
If you have forgotten your password click the "Forgot My Password'" link on the Direct Access login page.
Once you have answered the prompts that appear, you will receive an email entitled "My Portal Direct Forgot Password.” Click on the link provided in that email to set your new password, following the prompts on the screen.
Passwords must be at least nine (9) characters long and must contain at least one number and one special character (such as: !, @, &, etc.).
If you do not receive an email within 20 minutes , please contact PPC Customer Care via e-mail.

PHS Active Duty Pay & Personnel Issues
The CCHQ Compensation Section manages USPHS Commissioned Corps payroll operations to include: Determination and documentation of eligibility for payments, deductions, and allotments, including all payment starts, stops, or changes.
- Monthly payments of Active Duty pay and entitlements
- Monthly processing of voluntary/involuntary payroll allotments and deductions
- Administration and payment of special and incentive pays
- Customer assistance to payees
