The Program Executive Office for Services

The Program Executive Office for Services (PEO-SV) provides the USSOCOM Commander and Acquisition Executive an innovative approach to improve the efficiency and oversight in the administration of all USSOCOM service contracts. Additionally, the office supports USSOCOM, Component Commands, and Theater Special Operations Commands with services acquisition training, requirements documentation, policy and process oversight, and contract administration support to requiring activities.

The Services workforce focuses on the effective and efficient management of over $1.5 billion spent each year on contracted services in support of Special Operations Forces. The acquisition professionals in the office coordinate with requiring activities throughout the Command to ensure scarce special operations resources are used in the most effective manner to support our warfighting mission. Services personnel work side-by-side with the requiring activities' points of contacts across the organization to ensure services requirements are clearly articulated to support the most optimal acquisition strategy.

Services provides service acquisition expertise to the Commander to implement new policies for service requirements review and approval to ensure compliance with new Office of the Secretary of Defense contracted services’ funding caps. They also serve as the primary organization in reporting contractor full-time equivalents in accordance with Title 10, United States Code, section 2330a.
