Mission Support Planning is the phase of the acquisition process where communication between the customer and acquisition professional is imperative. The process begins with knowing your customer's requirements, either from a strategic or tactical perspective. We must support our customers and provide them with what they need, when they need it, and at a reasonable price. This topic area of Mission Support within the Contracting Community of Practice will provide information and resources to satisfy this requirement.
Additionally, this section provides information on the contracting flow of authority from Congress to the Contracting Officer, and provides an overview of laws, regulations, directives, and policies relevant to the purchase of goods and services by the Department of Defense, Military Services, and other Federal agencies.
