The 2017 NCVRW Resource Guide, released ahead of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, April 2 to 8, highlights this year’s theme, Strength. Resilience. Justice. The guide provides all of the materials necessary to promote public awareness campaigns for NCVRW and throughout the year.

International Terrorism Victim Expense Reimbursement Program (ITVERP) Brochure (February 2016) OVC, 2 pages, NCJ 249058.
This brochure describes the International Terrorism Victim Expense Reimbursement Program (ITVERP), which is authorized by Congress to reimburse eligible direct victims of acts of international terrorism that occur outside the United States for expenses associated with that victimization. It includes a list of the expenses that are eligible for reimbursement; explains the difference between itemized, interim emergency, and supplemental applications; and provides deadlines for filing a claim.

Faces of Human Trafficking (January 2016) OVC, 10 pages, NCJ 248754.
This video series and resource guide raise awareness of the seriousness of human trafficking, the many forms it can takes, and the important role that everyone can play in identifying and serving victims. This new multidisciplinary resource includes nine videos with Spanish subtitles; Public Service Announcements (PSAs) in English, Spanish, Thai, Hindi, and Tagalog; a discussion guide; four fact sheets; and four posters designed for service providers and allied professionals, law enforcement, the general public, and victims/survivors.

Characteristics of Suspected Human Trafficking Incidents, 2008-2010 (April 2011) BJS, Report, BJS Special Reports, 12 pages, NCJ 233732.
This report describes the characteristics of human trafficking investigations, suspects, and victims in cases opened by federally funded task forces between January 2008 and June 2010. This report provides information about investigations, persons involved in suspected and confirmed incidents of human trafficking, and case outcomes.

Multiple Perspectives on Battered Mothers and their Children Fleeing to the United States for Safety: A Study of Hague Convention Cases (December 2010) NIJ-Sponsored, Grant, 405 pages, NCJ 232624.
This report focuses on the situations of women who experienced abuse in another country and came to the United States in an effort to protect themselves and their children, but who then faced civil actions in U.S. state or federal courts for child abduction under international legal agreements.

Operating in Los Angeles County, California, the mission of CAST is to assist persons trafficked for the purpose of forced labor and slavery-like practices and to work toward ending all instances of such human rights violations.

SASHAA specializes in prevention and response to American victim's of sexual assault overseas. Victims of crime may obtain culturally sensitive assistance and services from SASHAA advocates via hotline, live chat, or email. U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Office of Women in Development (WID)
USAID's WID program supports the education of girls and fosters economic and political opportunities for women. These programs help create conditions that lessen the vulnerability of women and children to traffickers. USAID also funds direct anti-trafficking programs, which are described in more detail in Trafficking in Persons: USAID's Response.

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services: Campaign to Rescue and Restore Victims of Human Trafficking
ACF offers Rescue & Restore, a public awareness Web site to combat human trafficking, and a referral hotline, 1-888-373-7888, that connects victims with NGOs in their local area. The Rescue & Restore Campaign website offers outreach kits to educate and assist health care providers, social service providers, and law enforcement officers in their efforts to identify and help victims of trafficking.
 
U.S. Department of State: Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons
The Center is a joint venture of participating agencies, which include the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Department of Justice, and other governmental agencies. This Office provides critical resources for the fight against trafficking by assisting in the coordination of anti-trafficking efforts around the world and in the U.S. This Office also has the responsibility for drafting the annual Trafficking in Persons Report, which discusses the actions that countries, including the U.S., have taken to combat trafficking in persons in that year.

Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center
The Americans Overseas Domestic Violence Crisis Center works with abused Americans and their children in foreign countries to provide domestic violence and child abuse advocacy, resources and tools so that they can navigate the complicated jurisdictional, legal and social international landscapes.
 
Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services
This organization works in coordination with the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and the Office of Refugee Resettlement to provide services to victims of trafficking under the age of 18. Victims receive foster care placement and other benefits and services.
 
Maiti Nepal
Maiti Nepal was born out of a crusade to protect Nepali girls and women from crimes like domestic violence, trafficking for flesh trade, child prostitution, child labor and various forms of exploitation and torture.
 
National Human Trafficking Hotline
The National Human Trafficking Resource Center (NHTRC) is a national, toll-free hotline, available to answer calls from anywhere in the country, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, every day of the year. Call NHTRC at 1-888-373-7888 to: report a tip; connect with anti-trafficking services in your area; or request training and technical assistance, general information or specific anti-trafficking resources.
