2016 Winter Hazardous Weather Emergency Preparedness Functional Exercise
The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA), in conjunction with the National Weather Service (NWS), will conduct the 2016 Winter Hazardous Weather Emergency Preparedness functional exercise on Wednesday, December 14, 2016, (9:00 am through 2:00 pm) for state agencies and all counties within Pennsylvania.
An alternate functional exercise date has been set aside for Thursday, December 15, 2016, should an actual event preempt the primary date.
The following core capabilities will be addressed during the exercise:
1. Operational Coordination
2. Operational Communications
3. Public Information and Warning
4. Public and Private Sector Resources
