Our Technical Service Providers web page provides information and links to:

  • assist landusers with the location and selection of a Technical Service Provider
  • provide Technical Service Providers the means to register and obtain certification for selected conservation practices

Certified Crop Advisor training conducted by NRCS on November 30 - December 2, 2010, included an update to TSP requirements for the development of Conservation Activity Plans (CAP). The contents pertaining to TSPs, from a slide presentation being shown at the training by Dale Gates, TSP Coordinator, is available here for your review.

Agronomic Science Foundation (ASF)

New England Small Farm Institute (NESFI)
The mission of the New England Small Farm Institute is to promote small farm development by providing information and training for aspiring, beginning and transitioning farmers.

Northeast Beginning Farmer Project (Cornell University)
The Northeast Beginning Farmer Project is colorful new Web site with a wealth of resources. The site extends high quality support to aspiring, new and diversifying farmers across the entire Northeast. The site features how-to videos for new farmers on production-oriented topics. The online hub analyzes the hurdles that challenge new farmers when trying to grow their operations. The site also has a “Guide to Farming” and you can check out the latest beginning farmer online courses which can help you turn your dreams into action right from your home computer.

United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
The mission of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is to protect human health and the environment. The EPA leads the nation's environmental science, research, education and assessment efforts.

USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS)
The Agricultural Marketing Service administers programs that facilitate the efficient, fair marketing of U.S. agricultural products, including food, fiber, and specialty crops.

USDA Agricultural Research Service (ARS)
The Agricultural Research Service vision is to lead America towards a better future through agricultural research and information.

USDA Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS)
The Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service provides leadership in ensuring the health and care of animals and plants. The agency improves agricultural productivity and competitiveness and contributes to the national economy and the public health.

USDA Economic Research Service (ERS)
The Economic Research Service is a primary source of economic information and research in the U.S. Department of Agriculture. USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA)

USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS)
The Food and Nutrition Service administers the nutrition assistance programs of the USDA. The mission of FNS is to provide children and needy families better access to food and a more healthful diet through its food assistance programs and comprehensive nutrition education efforts.

USDA Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS)
The Foreign Agricultural Service works to improve foreign market access for U.S. products, build new markets, improve the competitive position of U.S. agriculture in the global marketplace, and provide food aid and technical assistance to foreign countries.

USDA National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) - New York Office of USDA's NASS
The National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) conducts hundreds of surveys every year and prepares reports covering virtually every aspect of U.S. agriculture. Production and supplies of food and fiber, prices paid and received by farmers, farm labor and wages, farm finances, chemical use, and changes in the demographics of U.S. producers are only a few examples.

The Risk Management Agency promotes, supports and regulates sound risk management solutions to preserve and strengthen the economic stability of America's agricultural producers.
