Law Enforcement Group Committee responsibilities include:

• Developing topics and speakers for LEG track at the Annual I&E to address current and future needs and concerns of law enforcement fleet managers
• Presenting concerns and recommendations of LEG to Board of Governors
• Monitoring legislative, regulatory, and operational issues involving law enforcement fleets
• Encouraging Chapters to include programming of interest to law enforcement fleets
• Serving as a personal resource for other law enforcement fleet managers who require assistance greater than those available through NAFA headquarters
• Provides comment on U.S. and Canadian legislative issues related to law enforcement

NAFA’s Law Enforcement Group Committee is comprised of, and is focused on, fleet managers who have police, fire, EMS or rescue vehicles in their fleet.

NAFA’s Law Enforcement Group Committee collects service reports from group members on a monthly basis and presents them to the manufacturers well in advance of NAFA’s Institute & Expo (I&E) for solution.

We give the manufacturers a running list during the course of the year to have as much time as possible to come up with explanations or provide information to resolve your issues during the Law Enforcement Group Workshop at I&E. The LEG workshop is an important part of NAFA’s Institute & Expo (I&E) where maintenance problems regarding police vehicles are shared and discussed.

By sending NAFA your report forms monthly, or as a problem occurs, more issues can be covered at the next Institute & Expo. In all fairness to the manufacturers and the fleet managers that attend the workshop, many vehicle issues cannot be answered on the spot. Extra time needs to be provided for the manufacturers to review your concerns and research solutions prior to the I&E.

Vehicle Service Reports can be submitted to NAFA at any time via the internet. Please use the links below to submit your most current Vehicle Problem Reports to NAFA and please include the Vehicle Identification Number.

Keep in mind, if your fleet is having serious maintenance concerns, don’t wait for NAFA’s monthly e-blast to rectify those problems.
