Bulletin: On December 8, 2016 the Census Bureau released the 2011-2015 5-year period estimates. The
MCDC has processed these data and made them available on our web site. See the Whatsnew page for details.
2015 ACS Single-year Data Released
The first set of vintage 2015 ACS data was released by the Census Bureau today (Sept. 15, 2016). The MCDC has downloaded the
detailed tables and created our usual MCDC Profile standard extract. You can go to the Bureau's American FactFinder site to
access the data, or you can use our site to get most of what you are probably looking for.
You can start by accessing our ACS Profiles web
app where you can now select the 1-year 2015 period. Then select your geography (up to 4 areas - remember, these
1-year data are only available for large areas of at least 65,000 population) to display the profiles.
(Note that the profiles contain hyperlinks to the detailed base tables (displayed by AFF) that were used to extract the
data items used in the profile repports). To see the report
with 2015 pre-selected along with the state of Missouri and the United States as geographies use:
census.missouri.edu/acs/profiles/report.php?p=26&g=04000US29|01000US.
If you would prefer to compare Missouri over time (rather than with the U.S.) you can use the updated
acstrends report. To run with 2014/2015 for Missouri
pre-selected use: census.missouri.edu/acs/trends/report.php?p=26|24&g=04000US29.
If you want to access the data from our archive via Uexplore/Dexter you can access all the data
appearing in our acsprofiles report in the acs2015.usmcdcprofiles
dataset. If you need more detailed data you can follow uexplore into the basetbls subdirectory
where you can access the hundreds of base tables.

some updates to the Dexter extract utility and a sample query that accesses the new acs2015 profiles data.
The query produces csv file which we turned into an Excel spreadsheet (in about one minute - in 15 minutes we coudl make it look a lot better) - looking something like this:
If you follow the directions in the 9-19-2016 whatsnew entry regarding the new Queries module you can actually
access the Excel file shown here and see it in full color and size, not to mention the Dexter query form
that was use to generate the csv file used to create it.
