The DOE Office of Legacy Management assumed responsibility for long-term surveillance and maintenance at the Rulison site in 2008. The Rulison site requires monitoring of nearby natural gas wells, groundwater wells, and surface water locations; routine inspection and maintenance; records-related activities; and stakeholder support.
