Vermont Statewide Resource assessment During the spring of 2011, NRCS Vermont State Office staff developed spreadsheets and maps for 17 different resource concerns, out of 31 total resource concerns the agency considers strategic issues for natural resource protection. The 17 topics the staff analyzed with state-wide geographic data cover concerns in soil erosion, water quality, wildlife habitat, air quality, livestock health, and energy efficiency in farming operations.
Missisquoi Areawide Plan Read a report produced by an NRCS-led partnership project team that developed strategies for reducing agriculturally-related phosphorus pollution in Missisquoi Bay. This project was supported by an NRCS Cooperative Conservation Partnership Initiative Grant.
Farm *A*Syst The Farmstead Assessment System (Farm *A*Syst) is a self-evaluation that farmers and rural landowners can use to evaluate how on-farm management practices and activities might be a risk to groundwater, and therefore the farmer's drinking water supply.
RUSLE2 Erosion Prediction Technology RUSLE2 is the NRCS approved technology for predicting rill and interrill soil erosion for conservation planning in Vermont. This site contains the official NRCS version of RUSLE2. It is the only version of RUSLE2 to be used for official purposes by NRCS field offices.
