Before the DistribuTECH Transmission and Distribution Conference, join the SunShot Initiative to learn about its work with utilities on solar plus storage. The Sustainable and Holistic Integration of Energy Storage and Solar PV (SHINES) funding program, launched in early 2016, develops and demonstrates integrated photovoltaic and energy storage solutions that are scalable, secure, reliable, and cost-effective. Each of the awardees will be on hand to discuss their projects, which are working to create multiple pathways toward the efficient, sustainable, and affordable integration of solar energy on the nation’s electrical grid in larger amounts than currently possible.
