App More Stable, Content Availability is Crap
The app no longer crashes as much, so that's good. The pastel blue highlight color is very hard to see in the sunlight (important for those of us who ride the bus or rail).
The bad part is the the content. One example - there was a 'Quiz', when I opened it it went to a web-style look and said Read more... What the?!? I am a subscriber and logged in!! Also, the availability of many articles is crap. Case in point, there was an article about reusable rockets in the Business section. It did not show in that section or any other. I looked at the time stamps of other articles and I saw ones "updates" before and after; if I hadn't seen it on Twitter I wouldn't have known about it. I get they don't want to use up a lot of memory, and I appreciate that, but there is no way to get many articles & that doesn't work for the amount we pay per month!
Over $300/yr - good but expecting more
I have been a WSJ reader for 25 years and an app user for over 3 years and it's been better and better. I like the autorecognition to go to the most recent version and the simplicity of the layout while maintaining the heritage format of the structure. Glad that the ads are gone with my rising subscription price. The content, updates, etc all flow much more easily in the most recent versions. I like the email alerts. Works great offline as well. For the rest, perhaps this is user error, but I would like to see which articles are trending at any given time. I would like to create my own section and be able to dialogue with an established peer group that I can create.

After the recent update the app crashed on me 4 times in 5 minutes and I could not finish reading even a single article. It has been years now but you guys still haven't figured out how to come up with a working app let alone a decent app.
Updates April'16- History repeats itself. When everything was working fine they had to just do something to make user experience miserable. If it's not broken, don't fix it wsj tech team.
May review- it's taking forever to load the articles- and yes I mean after downloading the paper and then there are app refreshes and crashes while you are reading the article( which either wsj just loves so much or don't have the capabilities to fix). Obviously they are not listening so maybe I will give them one more month and then unsubscribe.
