• Military Service Members and Veterans Educational Benefits

Colorado Christian University’s accelerated undergraduate degree and master's degree programs prepare students for lifelong learning and leadership roles in the military, in business, and in public professions. In order to make education more accessible for students in the military, CCU offers academic programs online and at convenient locations throughout Colorado, as well as financial resources for veterans and military college students.

These flexible education opportunities cater to the needs of adult students who have full-time employment, work shifts, and are prone to short notice moves or deployments. CCU’s staff works cooperatively with base education services personnel at the following locations in Colorado and Wyoming.

    • Buckley AFB (Colorado)
    • FE Warren AFB (Wyoming)
    • Fort Carson (Colorado)
    • Peterson AFB, including the 302nd Air Wing (Colorado)
    • Schriever AFB (Colorado)
    • United States Air Force Academy (Colorado)

Special Military Tuition Assistance for Undergraduate Students

Colorado Christian University’s College of Adult and Graduate Studies offers military financial aid and support through a reduced tuition rate for active duty military, Reserve and National Guard service members. The reduced tuition is extended to military service members and their adult dependents in an undergraduate program. The military tuition rate is equivalent to the Military Tuition Assistance limit per course, which means that service members taking undergraduate classes in CCU’s College of Adult and Graduate Studies program will incur no out-of-pocket tuition costs (under the present Tuition Assistance rules). Courses may have required fees which are unaffected by this policy.

Armed Forces Educational Credit and Residency Recognition

Military service personnel and veterans may receive undergraduate credit for Basic Training and other formal educational experience gained while serving in the U.S. Armed Forces. Potential transfer credit may already be documented on the CCAF (Air Force), AARTS (Army), and SMARTS (Navy/Marines) transcripts.

    Options for Military Recruits

CCU is approved for federal veterans' education benefits to qualified students. CCU agrees to comply with the Principles of Excellence federal guidelines, assuring our military students of high-quality student support services. CCU has also agreed to the enhanced Department of Defense (DoD) Voluntary Education Partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), to better collaborate with the DOD in providing military and veteran education benefits to service members and veterans. Applicants for veteran education benefits may secure forms by contacting Service Central at 303-963-3040 or VASupport@ccu.edu. Eligible students should keep in mind that benefits may not be received for a number of weeks after enrollment and should be prepared to meet University expenses until the veteran benefits arrive.
