What to Do After You’ve Been Accepted to College

Welcome to CCU's College of Adult and Graduate Studies. Congratulations on your admittance! We look forward to helping you achieve your educational goals. We know that as a new student, it can be challenging to go back to college. To ensure your success and readiness for your first class, we’ve put together a list of steps to help you get started.

    1. Set up your Digital Services Account

Your first step is to apply for a CCU Digital Services Account (DSA). (You will need your student identification number to sign up for an account. You can find your ID number in your acceptance letter or you can call your enrollment counselor.) Once your DSA application has been approved, you will be able to access WebAdvisor for course registration, financial aid information, and bill payment; you will also have access to CCU wireless and network computers.

Review and update your Personal and Emergency Information to ensure that your information is accurate. Once you complete this process you will be able to register for classes.

    2. Register for Classes

You will use CCU's Student Planning tool to register for your classes. Your Enrollment Counselor will place the classes on your plan and will let you know when you should register for those classes. Please watch this 2-minute video tutorial to learn how to register, or download the User's Guide. To access Student Planning, login to http://webadvisor.ccu.edu, select the Students menu, then click Student Planning on the right. If you experience any issues registering, or if there are no courses on your plan, please contact your Enrollment Counselor. If you do not have his/her contact information, please call 303-963-3311.

    3. Attend CAGS Student Orientation

Not sure what to expect from the college admissions process? Don’t worry – it’s all covered in our online orientation.

To ensure your success, please complete the online CAGS Student Orientation prior to your first class. You will learn how to buy your books, maneuver your online course components, request your student ID card, identify your advisor, and much more! After completing orientation, you will have the correct tools to excel in your program and ultimately in the world, as you influence those in your family, work place, and community. The CAGS Student Orientation is available as a reference and resource to you throughout your program at CCU. Continuing students are encouraged to revisit this site often.

To access the CAGS Student Orientation (Students must have a DSA created and be enrolled in a course):

    • Log into Blackboard using your DSA credentials.
    • Click the top tab labeled "Student Resources".
    • On the left menu, click on CAGS Student Orientation.

    4. See you in Class!
