USGS Techniques of Water-Resources Investigations (TWRI) reports are written for scientists and describe approved water-resources scientific and data-collection procedures and standard methods. This report series is no longer published; new water-resources techniques publications are published as part of the Techniques and Methods series (above).
Groundwater Technical Memoranda address USGS policy related to technical aspects of USGS groundwater studies and data collection.
