Tim Brown, CEO and president of the global design consultancy IDEO, will join the Steelcase Board of Directors, effective today. Brown’s addition to the Board of Directors is a natural move as the company continues to reimagine the workplace in today’s digital business landscape. Steelcase and IDEO have collaborated for more than 25 years.

Today, Steelcase celebrates notable progress of the company’s sustainable performance around the world. Over the past year, Steelcase pursued a number of continuous and coordinated efforts to demonstrate the company’s commitment to being a responsible corporate citizen and partnering with customers, dealers, suppliers and communities to make meaningful change.

Steelcase was recognized today as one of the “Best Places to Work for LGBT Equality” by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

Steelcase today announced a marketing and distribution relationship with Blu Dot, a Minneapolis-based designer and maker of modern home furnishings, lighting and accessories. This relationship is part of the ongoing commitment by Steelcase to deliver enhanced value and convenience to its customers and dealers.
