DHEC has translation and interpreter services available for applicants and recipients of covered DHEC services and members of the public for public hearings. If you speak a language other than English or need alternate means of communication, such as sign language or large print, please notify the staff at your local health department, a representative from the program you are seeking services from, or the contact person listed on the Agency's Public Notice. If there are any problems in obtaining the requested services, please notify the Office of Minority Health at 803-898-1792.
DHEC is prohibited from discriminating against applicants for, and recipients of, covered DHEC services on the basis of age, disability, race, color, sex, pregnancy, religion, or national origin. If you have questions about DHEC's Nondiscrimination statement or need to file a complaint, please contact the Agency's Compliance Office at 803-898-1132 or email your complaint to compliance@dhec.sc.gov. You can also submit a written complaint to any employee at your local DHEC office.
