By PEO EIS Public Affairs Office - October 28, 2015
WASHINGTON, DC, October 28, 2015 -- Naval Enterprise Networks (NEN), managers of the U.S. Department of the Navy’s (DON) largest enterprise information technology (IT) program, will host an Industry Day event to engage with businesses on opportunities associated with the re-compete of its current Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) contract. Industry Day will be held at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, 1700 Jefferson Davis Hwy., on Tuesday, Nov. 17, beginning at 8:30 a.m.

Additional information about the Industry Day, to include the agenda and how to register, can be found by visiting FedBizOpps.gov.

The DON is committed to fully engaging industry to develop the appropriate requirements and procurement opportunities that will result in maximum capability and value to our warfighters. Industry Day will allow the NEN to gather input from the business sector that will assist the Navy and Marine Corps in determining an acquisition approach for any potential NGEN follow-on contract(s) and other opportunities.

Information from this event and any future industry engagements such as RFIs, draft RFPs or industry presentations may be used to help the Navy determine the number, timing, structure (e.g., contract type), terms and conditions, and tasks of any potential contract(s) that may be issued as follow-ons to the current NGEN contract.

In keeping with Department of the Navy’s Small Business initiatives, the NEN program office intends to identify potential opportunities in the NGEN follow-on for Small Business participation.

Registration is limited by venue capacity and early registration is strongly recommended.

Attendees may register via e-mail by sending a request to NGEN_Industry_Day@navy.mil.

Please include your name; company name; CAGE (Commercial and Government Entity) Code, a unique identifier assigned to suppliers; name of attendees (five maximum); phone number(s); and e-mail address. This will help expedite the onsite registration.

Day of event registration will begin at 7:00 a.m. Plan to arrive early. Organizations are limited to five (5) attendees. However, in the event that Industry Day is oversubscribed /undersubscribed, NEN reserves the right to adjust participation limits.
