State of the Park

In early 2013, the NPS Chesapeake Bay Office published its "2012 Year in Review". This report highlights the many accomplishments of NPS and partners to develop the Star-Spangled Banner and Captain John Smith Chesapeake national historic trails, build youth engagement through the Chesapeake Youth Corps, connect people with important Chesapeake places through the Chesapeake Bay Gateways and Watertrails Network, to improve public access, and to collaborate with conservation partners on landscape protection.
