Our inaugural edition of State of Main, the annual publication of Main Street America, is now available electronically!
Serving as both an annual report and an industry journal, State of Main provides a detailed look back on all that we have accomplished together this year, as well as a platform to explore cutting edge ideas and trends in the commercial district revitalization field.
Main Street America Institute
The course schedule for the spring semester of the Main Street America Institute (MSAI) has been announced! The next course, Advanced Fundamentals of Economic Vitality I, starts January 10.

Your 2017 GAMSA Semi-Finalists
Congratulations to all ten Great American Main Street Award® semi-finalists! Together, they have generated almost a billion dollars in public and private reinvestment, while creating 5,679 new jobs, opening 1,085 new businesses, rehabbing 1,359 buildings and clocking over 133,000 volunteer hours.
The Great American Main Street Award is the highest recognition given out by the National Main Street Center. Each year, we celebrate exceptional Main Street America organizations for their work in creating more economically, socially, and culturally vibrant commercial districts. Winners will be announced at the Main Street Now Conference in Pittsburgh this May. Read more.
