San Bernardino National Wildlife Refuge / USFWS

Division of Planning

The Division of Planning, which is part of the Southwest Region’s Division of Refuges, is responsible for guiding the development of both comprehensive conservation plans (CCP) and land protection plans (LPP) for National Wildlife Refuges in the states of Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Comprehensive conservation plans provide direction for managing refuges over a 15-year period. These plans are prepared to fulfill the mission of the National Wildlife Refuge System and the purpose(s) of each refuge. Land protection plans guide the establishment of new refuges or the expansion of existing refuges.

This site offers information about current planning projects in the Southwest Region and provides completed CCPs and LPPs in portable document format (PDF). The Division of Planning hopes that this webpage encourages your participate in refuge planning.

We are located in the Southwest Regional Office in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
