CIPSEA Reporting
The U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reports annually to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) on what information it protects using the confidentiality provisions of Subtitle A of the Confidential Information Protection and Statistical Efficiency Act of 2002 (CIPSEA), Title V of the E-Government Act of 2002 (Public Law 107-347).The annual report to OMB identifies what EIA surveys use CIPSEA to protect information and also includes the number of persons designated as agents who are authorized to access information protected under CIPSEA.
