FBI Strategy
Managing an organization as large and complex as the FBI—and transforming it into the intelligence-driven, threat-focused enterprise needed for the 21st century—requires a definitive idea of where we are and where we hope to go. That’s where our strategy comes in. The FBI strategy enables Bureau leaders and managers to define and pursue objectives crucial to mission success, prioritize resources to achieve those objectives, track progress along the way, address gaps when identified, and, deliver consistent results.
Resource Planning
The FBI’s Resource Planning Office (RPO) takes a corporate approach to maximizing efficiency and effectiveness in the Bureau by managing and aligning our strategic goals with financial and human resources, performance measures, and internal policy management—all of which assists senior executives with decision-making. These efforts, in turn, allow our operational personnel to focus on what they do best—mitigating the nation’s highest priority national security and criminal threats.
