2015 FedScoop Golden Gov Awards Include Three DoD CIOs
By DON CIO News Release - October-December 2015
The Department of Defense's push to use innovative technology as a path to transforming government is continuing to gain traction and recognition in the federal technology community.

Such recognition was evident as three DoD Chief Information Officers (CIOs) were selected as FedScoop’s Golden Gov award winners.

DoD CIO Terry Halvorsen, Department of the Navy CIO Robert Foster, and Department of the Army CIO Lt. Gen. Robert Ferrell were all recognized on Nov. 19 as winners of the prestigious Golden Gov Federal Executives of the Year Award. This award is given to visionary leaders who implement innovative ideas, inspire others, and impact their own agency as well as other federal organizations with value added solutions and strategies.

More than 200 government and industry leaders gathered at the Hay-Adams hotel in downtown Washington, D.C., on Nov. 19 as FedScoop honored the award recipients. The ceremony provided a valuable opportunity for cross-agency sharing on solutions to various federal agency key management issues.

Each year FedScoop recognizes federal and industry information technology leaders in a variety of award categories.
