National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS)

Law enforcement agencies collect detailed incident level data regarding individual offenses and arrests and submit them using prescribed data elements and data values. NIBRS presents quantitative and qualitative data that describes each incident and arrest. The NIBRS Map provides the status of NIBRS reporting by state.

Summary Reporting System (SRS)

Law enforcement agencies tally the number of occurrences of Part I offenses, as well as arrest data for both Part I and Part II offenses, and submit aggregate counts of the collected data in monthly summary reports either directly to the FBI or indirectly through state UCR Programs.

Law Enforcement Officers Killed and Assaulted

The objective of this program is to assist law enforcement managers, trainers, and personnel in the identification of training issues for the purpose of preventing the deaths and/or serious injury of law enforcement personnel.

Hate Crime Statistics

    Cargo Theft

    Statistics are collected on the criminal taking of cargo that is moving in commerce at all points.  The objective is to capture the essence of the national cargo theft crime problem and its negative effect on the economy of the United States.
